Message of the Cross Church Preaches the Original Message

The Message of the Cross Church, also known as the Church Purchased With His Blood, declares original bible truths, now lost in the churches of today. They believe that in order to receive God given results, you must not leave God’s prescribed order of doing things. This can be altered through new age ideologies, beliefs and shallow philosophies nurtured by humanistic views and overtones.

Bishop_Amos_Elliott.jpg
Charleston, SC, January 28, 2014 -- The Message of the Cross Church, located in Charleston, SC, declares the original message of the cross, a practice that sets it apart from other churches in Charleston and the surrounding areas. The original message, given by God and taught by the Apostle Paul, was ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit by churches founded by the Apostles in the first century. They preached the cross for salvation as well as born again believers’ sanctification. Unlike modern churches, the Message of the Cross Church is devoted to teaching and practicing “original God given Bible truths.”

Modern day Christian disciplines often include fasting, praying, Bible study, and church attendance. Disciplines like these are enforcers of faith in Christ and the cross. The Message of the Cross Church understands that these are strengthening methods and are benefits given by the Cross of Calvary. As such, the Message of the Cross Church preaches a belief of faith in Christ exclusively, rather than merely in faith enforcers or the faith in righteousness and doing benevolent works. Further, they believe that a lack of faith in Christ as the proper object constitutes self-righteousness or the idea of merely doing good deeds, which cannot ascertain heaven or victory over the world, the flesh and the devil.

In the way the Message of the Cross Church believes exclusively in Christ, they believe that it’s not faith in the law with which humanity finds deliverance. Instead, under these teachings, the Holy Spirit works to help deny sin, addiction and other ungodly passions. Through each of these truths, the Message of the Cross Church stands for preaching faith in the biblical sense, beliefs that have widely changed since the original message. Yet, the Message of the Cross Church shows that this faith has not been forgotten.

Still, this isn’t the only thing that sets the Message of the Cross Church apart from other churches in the area. It also has a unique approach to finances, in regards to its ministry. Rather than become a primarily financial institution, the Message of the Cross Church focuses on spreading faith. The ministry strongly believes in the importance of spiritual growth and development above financial profit. In recognition of this, the church only takes one corporate offering a week in order to support its ministry. From the beginning, the Message of the Cross Church set out to be a place of compassion and warmth, where visitors know they are welcome.

The Message of the Cross Church in Charleston, SC, continues to grow in every way. It promotes betterment for all and remains a safe space for all to seek, no matter their situation. While the church embraces original faithful truths, its adaptation in various aspects allows it to provide for its visitors in faith, finance, and many other ways that work towards the good of the community, the saving of souls and the restoration of lives.

GREEN CREATIVE’S CRISP SERIES MR16 7W High CRI LED lamp is now ENERGY STAR qualified

GREEN CREATIVE, the commercial grade LED lighting manufacturer is proud to announce the ENERGY STAR qualification of its CRISP SERIES MR16 7W High CRI directional lamp.

South San Francisco, CA, January 29, 2014 -- GREEN CREATIVE, the commercial grade LED lighting manufacturer is proud to announce the ENERGY STAR qualification of its CRISP SERIES MR16 7W High CRI directional lamp. This is the first MR16 with a CRI 95 to ever receive ENERGY STAR qualification.

GREEN_CREATIVE_MR16_High_CRI_ES.jpg
When asked about this accomplishment, GREEN CREATIVE’s Product Manager, Matthew Leonard, replied, “We are extremely proud to have the first and only CRI 95 MR16 ENERGY STAR qualified lamp. We always strive to make sure our products meet the industry’s highest standards, whether it’s ENERGY STAR, the CA Quality Spec, or DLC, and this MR16 is no exception.”

This 45W halogen replacement has a typical CRI 95 and features the latest in LED color rendering technology. LED CRI testing analyzes the chromatic effect of a light source over a scale of 14 standard colors (R1-R14) and assigns each tested color a value (100 is perfect). CRI is then calculated by taking the average of the R1-R8 values. This same CRI number commonly seen on packaging and specification sheets can mislead end users because it only refers to eight of the tested colors.

Although the R9-R14 colors are measured, they have no impact on a lamp’s CRI rating. So while some LEDs claim to have a high CRI, they may do a poor job rendering other key colors. GREEN CREATIVE’S MR16 7W High CRI lamp has exceptional R1-R14 values including typical R9 95 and R13 95 ratings. This ensures reds (R9) look richer and skin tones (R13) look natural.

Unlike most high CRI LEDs, the CRISP SERIES MR16 delivers outstanding color rendering without sacrificing efficiency. At 465 lumens, this 1:1 halogen form factor lamp features an extremely high 66 LPW efficacy. This is over 50% more efficient than any other high CRI 45-50W replacement MR16. This lamp was featured in the Illuminating Engineering Society’s 2013 Progress Report for its innovation and significance within the lighting industry.

Watch GREEN CREATIVE’S product video further explaining CRI and highlighting the lamp’s specifications here: http://www.gc-lighting.com/products/mr16-7w-high-cri/

GREEN CREATIVE designed this lamp specifically for applications that demand accurate color rendering such as retail, food, museums, and art galleries. In the past, people had to choose between having either high color rendering or energy saving efficiency with their lighting. Now they can have both.

The dimmable MR16 7W High CRI is ENERGY STAR qualified in 3000K and 2700K CCT in narrow flood and flood beam angles. This lamp is UL listed Class I & II, has a 30,000-hour lifetime, and is backed by a 3 year warranty.

GREEN CREATIVE’S new 6-inch and 4-inch High CRI Downlights meet the California Quality Specification

GREEN CREATIVE, the commercial grade LED lighting manufacturer announces the launch of its brand new TITANIUM LED CRISP SERIES 3.0 6” and 4” High CRI downlights.

South San Francisco, CA, January 29, 2014 -- GREEN CREATIVE, the commercial grade LED lighting manufacturer announces the launch of its brand new TITANIUM LED CRISP SERIES 3.0 6” and 4” High CRI downlights. Both lamps comply with the California Quality Specification set forth by the California Energy Commission. In addition to these downlights, GREEN CREATIVE offers an A19 and BR30 that also meet the California Quality Specification requirements.

CEC_4-inch_and_6-inch_downlights.jpg
Last year, the California Energy Commission (CEC) issued the Voluntary California Quality Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Lamp Specification for LED lamps used in residential applications. This new specification, commonly referred to as “CEC” or “California Quality Spec,” has set an LED lamp performance baseline for utilities to consider that is more stringent than ENERGY STAR. Some large California Investor Owned Utilities such as PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E have already adopted this specification and currently offer higher-tier rebates for lamps that meet the requirements.

Two notable differences between ENERGY STAR requirements and the California Quality Spec deal with color rendering and color temperature consistency. While ENERGY STAR requires LED lamps to have a CRI =80 and R9 =0, the California Quality Spec demands a CRI =90 and R9 =50. As members of GREEN CREATIVE’S CRISP SERIES, the new 6” Downlight 16W and 4” Downlight 12W retrofit kits provide exceptional color rendering with typical CRI 92 and R9 60 values. These dimmable fixtures make individual colors look crisper and cleaner than typical CRI 80 LED lamps and are ideal for applications that demand accurate color rendering such as retail, food, museums, and art galleries.

In addition to a higher CRI, the California Quality Spec also requires a tighter chromaticity than ENERGY STAR. A lamp’s color temperature now must fall within a 4-step Macadam ellipse from the 2700K or 3000K points. This is stricter than ENERGY STAR’s 7-step requirement. A 4-step Macadam ellipse minimizes lamp to lamp color deviation, creates truer 2700K and 3000K CCTs, and ensures retrofit projects involving a large number of lamps have a consistent color temperature. Both the new 6” and 4” downlights meet the CEC’s 4-step requirement and deliver comfortable diffused light in Warm White CCTs.

Both the 6” and 4” LED downlights install in just minutes and are compatible with both existing incandescent housing and new LED housing. The dimmable 6” Downlight 16W replaces a 75W incandescent, has a 35,000-hour lifetime, comes in 2700K and 3000K CCT and is pending ENERGY STAR qualification. Data sheet available here: http://www.gc-lighting.com/wp-content/uploads/GREEN-CREATIVE-LED-6inch-1...
The dimmable 4” Downlight 12W replaces a 65W incandescent, has a 35,000-hour lifetime, comes in 2700K CCT and is pending ENERGY STAR qualification. Data sheet available here: http://www.gc-lighting.com/wp-content/uploads/GREEN-CREATIVE-LED-4inch-1...

These products are available through GREEN CREATIVE distributors. For more information on where to purchase the products near you or how to become a distributor, please contact us at: sales@gc-lighting.com or (866) 774-5433.

Top 10 Causes of New Home Built-In Toxic Mold, Warns Industrial Hygienist Phillip Fry

Industrial hygienist and mold consultant Phillip Fry explains the top ten reasons why new homes and commercial buildings frequently have built-in toxic mold growth infestations.

Montrose, MI, January 27, 2014 -- “Even before a new home buyer can move in, many new homes are seriously and dangerously infested with toxic mold growth that has been built into the wood timbers, plywood, osb (oriented strand board), particle or chipboard, and other construction materials, and then subsequently hidden from view by exterior siding, insulation, and drywall,” warns Phillip Fry, Professional Industrial Hygienist and Certified Environmental Hygienist, and webmaster since 1999 of the mold information website www.moldinspector.com.

Mold consultant Fry reports that one or more of the following top 10 construction problems can cause significant mold growth in a new home or commercial building under construction:

1. Mold growth at the lumber mill or in transit from the mill because of no protection of the timbers or building materials against rain or high humidity that enables the mold to begin eating the construction materials.

2. Mold growth at the lumber yard because of a similar lack of protection against rain and high humidity. Many lumber yards often store construction timbers unprotected in the outdoors.

3. Mold growth at the home construction site because of a similar lack of protection against rain and high humidity. In addition, timbers and other construction materials are often left setting directly on the ground, from which moisture can wick upwards into the materials from the water-containing ground.

4. Untrained construction workers don’t recognize or don’t care about visible mold growth on the timbers and construction materials as they build the home. Instead of rejecting moldy timbers, the workers use the contaminated timbers with no knowledge of, or concern about, the mold problems that they are building into the home or commercial building.

5. Owners, supervisors, and managers of home builders and commercial building contractors don’t inspect the building projects during construction for mold growth on the wood timbers and other building materials.
6. Home builders and commercial contractors don’t hire professional mold inspection and testing of homes and commercial buildings either during the construction phase or upon completion.

7. Wood timbers are not pre-treated before or during construction with mold and termite preventative fungicides such as non-toxic, EPA-registered Tim-Bor. Read the material safety data sheet and usage instructions for Tim-Bor at www.timborprofessional.com.

One of the best mold preventative strategies is to mix one pound of Tim-Bor per gallon of white, latex enamel paint, and then paint all surfaces and edges of each timber and plywood or osb sheet to adhere to Tim-Bor directly to the wood and to help keep the timbers and construction material dry in the event of a future roof leak or plumbing leak.

8. Building defects allow water intrusion are common in new homes and commercial buildings. For example, construction workers often improperly install sewer drain pipes, water supply pipes, and air conditioning condensation drain lines, with the unfortunate result that such plumbing defects enable water to leak into the structure. There are hundreds of possible building defects in new structures. Speed of construction and not the quality of construction is often the emphasis and priority of home builders, employees, and subcontractors.

9. Home and commercial building buyers fail to hire a mold-experienced industrial hygienist, environmental hygienists, and certified mold inspector to inspect carefully the home during construction, or prior to closing the purchase of the home or commercial building. Find a qualified inspector in the worldwide mold inspector directory www.certifiedmoldinspectors.com.

10. New home buyers fail to do on-going maintenance checkups of their structures to detect water intrusion and mold growth problems before the problems become big and expensive to repair.

Zoobookoo's New Product Range - More Than Just a Board Game

ZooBooKoo is launching the brand new Jungle Number Line and Insect Alphabet Line board games at the Spring Fair (Feb 2-6 at the NEC).

ZooBooKoo.jpg

United Kingdom, January 27, 2014 -- ZooBooKoo is launching the brand new Jungle Number Line and Insect Alphabet Line board games at the Spring Fair (Feb 2-6 at the NEC). These unique board games neatly unfold from about the size of a DVD box to form a bright, colourful, board nearly one metre long with an integral spinner and appealing animal counters.

Jungle_Number_Line_board_games.jpg
In the Jungle Number Line game players have to reach the end of the number line first or seize the other players’ counters to win. The messages on the spinner and number line tell the player how many spaces to ‘count on’ or ‘count back’ – great for addition and subtraction too. There are three skill levels, enabling players from around 3+ to 7+ years to play together. Similar principles apply in the Insect Alphabet Line with players moving up and down the letter line trying to reach ‘z’ first with additional word-building skill levels. The cute animal counters are neatly stored in the folded game and the integral spinner provides much activity and excitement that we have grown to expect from ZooBooKoo’s educational toys and games.

But it gets even better: on the reverse of each game is a metre long white board. The Insect Alphabet Line has large letters to trace and a hangman game. While the Jungle Number Line has large numbers to trace and a four-in-a-line connecting game.

The games have been put through their paces by children, parents and teachers with the kids wanting to play again and again; the parents particularly appreciating the compact size for storage and travelling; and teachers delighted to see beneficial enjoyable kids’ learning games with three levels that work really well.

Insect_Alphabet_Line_board_games.jpg

So in true ZooBooKoo style, these charming games are great fun with significant learning value. Stephen Wattleworth, ZooBooKoo MD, told us, ’We are delighted with the Concertina Board Games. They reflect our ZooBooKoo toys and games ethos in every way: compact, intriguing, fun and affordable with multi-level learning value. We thought it would be hard to follow the wipeable Word Searchers and multiple choice Quizonics we launched last year but the Concertina Board Games do that just beautifully.’

The concertina board games are shrink-wrapped with a euro hook and retail at around £9.99 each. Visit us in Hall 3, stand number M50. Alternatively please contact sales@zoobookoo.com or 01473-735346 or visit ZooBooKoo for more information.

Clean Up Mold 10 Steps Recommended by Industrial Hygienist Phillip Fry for Homes & Workplaces

Industrial Hygienist Phillip Fry recommends that mold victims take ten steps to clean mold growth areas at home and at work in a safe and effective way.

Montrose, MI, January 25, 2014 -- Cleaning up mold household mold and toxic mold in homes and workplaces must be done in both a safe and effective manner by following ten steps in the proven mold clean up protocol for mold victims that was developed by Phillip Fry, Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Certified Mold Inspector, and Certified Mold Remediator, and explained in detail at www.moldinspector.com/mold_removal.htm.

Mold clean up should include these ten steps:

1. Proper worker protection. While cleaning and removing mold growth, the homeowners or company employees should wear the following safety gear that is readily available at hardware and home improvement stores: (a) N-95 breathing mask or 3M breathing respirator with organic vapor filters; (b) eye goggles with no holes (e.g., “ChemSplash”) or tape over the holes; (c) disposable paper painter’s coveralls or Tyvek environmental suits with parka hoods; (d) disposable paper shoe booties; and (e) disposable vinyl gloves.

2. Contain the mold cleanup work area. Cleaning up and removing mold growth can throw large numbers of mold spores into the air. Keep such airborne mold spores from cross-contaminating other areas of the home or building by installing wall to wall, floor to ceiling clear plastic sheeting containment walls. You can buy a zipper door opening to install into wall from a home improvement store. Alternatively, cut a vertical slit in the containment wall and tape over the slit with a lift up plastic sheet.

3. Use a HEPA vacuum cleaner. Use, buy or borrow a good quality HEPA vacuum cleaner with a brand new HEPA filter to do an initial vacuuming of the floor, walls, moldy areas, and all furniture/possessions inside the mold containment area. Such HEPA vacuuming will clean up landed or deposited mold spores and loosen mold colony growths.

4. Do high output ozone treatment. Run a high output ozone generator for eight hours inside the mold containment area to kill mold spores and mold colony growth. Read about affordable, high quality ozone generators at www.ozonegeneratorkillsmold.com. In addition, use the hose attachment of your ozone generator to inject ozone for eight hours into the return air duct of your heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. There can be no people, pets, or live plants in the house or treated workplace during the ozone treatment session or for 2 hours afterwards.

5. Furniture cleaning. All furniture and possessions inside the mold cleanup area should be removed to the outdoors to be scrubbed thoroughly and completely with boric acid powder, dissolved one pound per gallon of hot water. In addition to the boric acid scrubbing, each item should be HEPA vacuumed again on all sides including the bottom and back sides.

6. Remove airborne mold spores during the mold removal process. Because the removal of physical growth will throw mold spores into the air, get rid of those airborne mold spores by running either a professional air scrubber machine that is directly vented by a flexible hose to the outdoors, or open a window inside the containment area and run a box fan in the window to exhaust indoor moldy air to the outdoors.

7. Remove visible mold growth. After the above steps, remove visible mold growth by cutting out and disposing of moldy building materials in 6 mil thick garbage bags or by using a wire brush attachment to an electric, portable grinder to peel off the surface mold growth.

8. Prevent future mold growth step one. After physically removing mold growth, spray either boric acid powder or EPA-registered fungicide Tim-Bor onto the mold-remediated clean up areas. Mix one pound of boric powder or Tim-Bor per gallon of hot water. Use a hand-pumped garden sprayer to spray the fungicide. Non-toxic Tim-Bor is available at www.timborprofessional.com.

9. Prevent future mold growth step two. After the completion of step 8, mix boric powder or Tim-Bor into latex glossy enamel, white paint with one pound of mold preventative per gallon of paint. Then paint all remediated surfaces and adjacent areas with the mold preventative paint.

10. Mold test the mold cleaned up area. After completion of the above steps, mold test the mold remediated surfaces for mold lab analysis to learn if the area has been effectively mold remediated. Do it yourself mold test instructions are available at www.moldexpertconsultants.com, or hire the nationwide EnviroFry firm to do professional mold inspection and testing.

Second Book of the Koinobi Trilogy is Released

The eagerly awaited Aquilan continues the saga.

Marble, NC, January 24, 2014 -- Science fiction fans are elated that Reid Minnich’s second book in his Koinobi Trilogy is now available in paperback and e-book editions. Aquilan begins by resolving the cliffhanger ending of Koinobi and takes readers on another fast paced adventure that spans the galaxies.

AquilanFront.jpg
Koinobi began the series with the introduction of Tweeskzaht, the alien parasite who uses humans as hosts. In a twist on science fiction convention, Tweeskzaht is a sentient and compassionate being with a mission to unite three races of alien life forms. After a number of regenerations, Tweeskzaht comes upon a man with a fatal illness, and they become united in their cause.

Mike’s degenerative disease left him in a wheelchair with the certain knowledge that his life could end at any time. Working as a freelance computer technician from his home, he is cut off from the world he longs to join and the life he craves.

Mike’s decision, he finds out, is not only his personal liberation from his deteriorating body but the chance to reroute Earth from an inevitable fate. However, it comes with a very high cost that involves not only his own life but the lives of people he has come to care about.

Aquilan takes readers even deeper into the struggle for power as Tweekzaht and Mike take on the monumental challenges of unifying worlds and breaking down fear and intolerance while keeping their friends alive and free. Both sides struggle to come to terms with pre-conceived notions.

Minnich says he conceived the concept of the trilogy by presenting an exaggerated situation which forces characters into making hard choices based on their greatest desires. Says Minnich, “If you were isolated from all humanity because of your appearance, how much would the appearance of your soul-mate matter? I wanted the reader to be able to understand and believe the driving forces of both Tweeskzaht and Mike.”

Both Koinobi and Aqulian are available, on Amazon, bookstores and Word Branch Publishing’s website: http://www.wordbranch.com/reid-minnich.html. The final book in the trilogy, Pantheron, will be released in fall of 2014.

Being Anti-Social Makes Best of Indie List

Being Anti-Social by multi award winning author, Leigh K Cunningham is one of IndieReader’s Best Indie Books for 2013.

Singapore, January 23, 2014 -- Author Leigh K Cunningham received her seventh accolade with her latest title, Being Anti-Social making a short list of books chosen by IndieReader as their best independently published books for 2013.

Maureen Fajt for IndieReader says, “Being Anti-Social is sarcastic and witty without being silly or trite. It is a charming story with a toned-down, Bridget Jones’s Diary appeal. Readers should be prepared to laugh a lot, cry a little and be very sorry to see the end of this book.”

Cunningham says the story is about being true to oneself and resisting pressure to conform to other's expectation of what should make you happy.

Although Being Anti-Social is intended to be a light-hearted look at the life of an almost-forty divorced woman who prefers her own company, it does address some deeper issues like death of a loved one and infidelity.

“The main character, Mace Evans consistently attracts men with honesty issues,” says Cunningham, “and although she makes endless attempts at taking charge of her life, she is easily, and comically distracted. She blames most of her failures on middle-child syndrome, or her mother whenever she can.”

Friendships also play a major part in Mace’s story as she battles her friends’ plans for ending her self-imposed solitude. “Friends, family, and society often find it difficult to accept that some women prefer to be on their own,” says Cunningham. “Not everyone enjoys social situations or being in a relationship. A lot of people are perfectly happy staying home on their own, and the many emails from readers indicate this is more common than we might realize.”

A highlight of Being Anti-Social is the regular witticisms from Oscar Wilde, the main character’s life coach and mentor.

“I really enjoyed finding Oscar quotes to accompany the story,” says Cunningham. “There were so many that related to the main character’s circumstances, it was difficult to settle on the few that made it into Mace’s musings.”

Being Anti-Social has won two gold medals, from Readers’ Favorite (Chick Lit), and from Reader Views Literary Awards in the Humor category. Cunningham’s multi-generational family saga, Rain won gold at the Indie Excellence Awards in the literary fiction category, and silver at the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPYs). Two children’s books, The Glass Table and its sequel, Shards, both won silver at the Mom’s Choice Awards.

Cunningham has hit the #1 spot on Amazon bestseller lists for Rain (Family Saga) and Being Anti-Social (Comic Fiction).

Rewritten, Cunningham’s next title is due for release later in 2014.

10 Proven Ways To Kill and Remove Toxic Mold, Suggested by Mold Expert Phillip Fry

Certified Environmental Hygienist Phillip Fry recommends the top ten ways to kill and remove both toxic mold and household mold safely and effectively from homes and workplaces.

Montrose, MI, January 20, 2014 -- The biggest mold removal myth is that mold victims often believe that bleach is the product to use for effective mold killing and removal, whereas, in actuality, bleach does not kill or remove mold that is on or grown into porous surfaces such as drywall, wood surfaces, and carpeting, or hidden mold. Learn why bleach does not work for mold problems at www.bleach-mold-myth.com.

Here are ten proven ways to kill and remove toxic mold and household mold growth in homes and workplaces, as recommended by Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Mold Inspector, and Certified Mold Remediator, and author of five mold advice books.

1. Find ALL mold growth, including mold hidden inside walls, ceilings, floors, attics, basements, crawl spaces, and heating/cooling equipment and ducts, as well as mold hidden inside, beneath, and behind kitchen sink cabinets, bathroom vanity cabinets, carpeting and padding, dishwashers, washing machines, furniture, draperies, and wallpaper. Learn how to do your own mold inspection at www.buildingmoldinspection.com or hire a Certified Mold Inspector or Certified Environmental Hygienist listed in the directory www.certifiedmoldinspectors.com.

2. Follow carefully the ten mold removal safety tips and detailed instructions provided at www.moldinspector.com/mold_removal.htm. Mold removal personnel need to be properly protected to avoid their breathing in large numbers of dangerous airborne mold spores and to prevent mold spores from entering their bodies through unprotected eyes or open wounds.

3. The first mold-killing step is to inject high output ozone for at least eight hours into each room, attic, basement, crawl space, garage, and into the return air duct of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) while the HVAC is running on fan ventilation to carry the ozone everywhere in the house or building. For ozone generator mold killing information, please visit www.ozonegeneratorkillsmold.com. During the ozone treatment time and for two hours afterwards, there can be no people, pets, or live plants inside the home or building.

4. The second key step is to use a HEPA vacuum cleaner (with a brand new HEPA filter) to HEPA vacuum all floors, walls, and furniture surfaces to remove as many landed/deposited mold spores as possible. You can buy a strong HEPA vacuum at appliance stores, department stores, and discount stores.

5. Remove furniture and personal possessions from the house or building into a cleaning room in the garage, carport, or next to the building. The cleaning room can be constructed out of wood timbers with 6 mil thick clear plastic sheeting from a hardware or home improvement store.

6. Inside the cleaning room, all furniture and possessions should first be ozone treated for four hours, and then HEPA-vacuumed on all surfaces, and then wiped and scrubbed on all sides and surfaces with either borax laundry detergent or boric acid powder, thoroughly mixed one pound of borate powder per gallon of hot water. High quality boric acid powder is available at www.moldmart.net.

7. Wipe and scrub the surfaces and insides of all kitchen and bathroom cabinets, walls, and tiled floor surfaces with either borax or boric acid powder, as explained above.

8. Kill visible mold growth by spraying or fogging all moldy building surfaces (such as mold-infested walls and ceilings) with an EPA-registered fungicide such as Tim-Bor, available at www.timborprofessional.com.

9. Remove and discard all moldy building materials such as mold-infested drywall, plasterboard, carpeting, and insulation. Trash can or dumpster mold remediation is the least costly and most effective way to get rid of mold problems. Effective mold remediation requires three steps: (a) kill the mold; (b) remove moldy building materials; and (c) prevent future mold growth by spraying a mold-preventative such as Tim-Bor onto all mold remediated areas and replacement building materials.

10. After the above steps have been completed, do another eight hours of high output ozone treatment in all rooms and areas of the house, including the HVAC system. In addition, the mold remediated home or building should be mold tested with both air tests and surface sampling to make sure that the home or building is now mold-safe for occupancy. Mold testing tips are provided at www.moldexpertconsultants.com.

Top 10 Questions that Mold Victims Ask Mold Consultant Phillip Fry

Mold expert Phillip Fry provides answers to the top ten mold questions that people ask him about toxic mold growth problems in their homes and workplaces.

Montrose, MI, January 18, 2014 -- People living or working in elevated levels of toxic mold often become very sick as the result of the mold exposure. Mold victims’ deteriorating health leads them to ask frequently these top ten mold questions to international mold expert Phillip Fry, Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator, Certified Environmental Hygienist, and Professional Industrial Hygienist, who serves clients nationwide in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

1. What is toxic mold? Toxic mold is a mold species that, while multiplying and growing, continually throws toxic mold spores and mycotoxins mold poisons into the breathing air inside homes and commercial buildings. Some of the most dangerous and commonly-discovered toxic molds are Stachybotrys, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Cladosporium, and Chaetomium.

2. Is the mold growing in my home or workplace the dangerous toxic black mold? “Block mold” is a nickname for the deadly Stachybotrys mold species that can cause not only severe respiratory problems but also brain tissue damage. Just because a mold is black in color does not make it Stachybotrys mold because many mold specie growths are black in color, as well as white, blue, green, yellow, red, and orange. See pictures and descriptions of most major mold species at www.mold.ph.

3. What are the most common health symptoms that result from mold exposure? Any of the following on a continuing, chronic basis are possible mold health symptoms and problems: sinus pain, coughing, sneezing, chest pain, skin rashes, headaches, always feeling tired, feeling disconnected from the world around oneself, depression, and many others that are listed in the top 100 mold health problems listed at www.moldexpertconsultants.com.

4. How come I’m the only person sick from mold at home or at work? People differ significantly in their sensitivity and body reaction to living or working in elevated levels of toxic mold. One or more family members or work associates can be very sick from mold while others in the same house or workplace aren’t sick.

5. How can doctors diagnose me for any mold health problems? Attending physicians can choose from a wide array of mold diagnostic tests such as lab analysis of a sinus cavity tissue swab, mold antibody blood testing, Stachybotrys blood testing, and chest x-ray.

6. How should my home or workplace be tested for mold growth problems? The residence or place of employment should be thoroughly visually inspected and mold tested for water and mold problems, especially inside and on walls, ceilings, floors, attic, basement, crawl space, garage, and heating/cooling equipment and air ducts. For mold inspection tips, visit www.buildingmoldinspection.com.

7. How to I find a Certified Mold Inspector or Certified Environmental Hygienist? Visit your state, province, or nation in the worldwide directory www.certifiedmoldinspectors.com.

8. What is the cost for professional mold inspection and testing? In depth, thorough and complete residential mold inspection is usually $300 to $500, plus mold sample collection with laboratory mold species identification and quantification for $85 to $100 per mold sample.

9. How can I get rid of the mold growing at home or at work? Three short phrases describe the overall mold removal process: (a) kill the mold; (b) remove the mold; and (c) prevent future mold growth. Read the 10 steps for safe and effective mold remediation at www.moldinspector.com/mold_removal.htm.

10. How can I prevent mold problems at home or at work? Stop mold problems by preventing and solving water intrusion problems such as plumbing leaks, appliance leaks, roof leaks, siding leaks, basement wall and floor leaks, and indoor humidity that exceeds 70% some or all of the year.

For a free answer to other mold questions, please email Phillip Fry phil@moldinspector.com or phone him toll-free 1-866-300-1616 or Phillip’s cell phone 1-480-310-7970, or visit the mold information websites www.moldinspector.com, www.workplacemold.com, and www.airconditioner.com.

South Florida Mother is launching P2P (Pal to Pal) Ride Sharing Platform to Promote Friendlier Roads

SchleP2P is a mobile community where friends connect with nearby friends for rides, safely and conveniently

Fort Lauderdale, FL, January 07, 2014 -- Leaving a friend’s birthday party after having a couple of drinks one night last December in Boca Raton, Rachel Lam was apprehensive about getting into a cab with a complete stranger. Rachel thought to herself, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just connect with a friend who was close-by and get a ride?” From this, SchleP2P, an online and mobile community that connects nearby friends for rides with a few taps on their smart phones, was conceived. It’s an App that brings friends physically together to go places, have fun and create positive action. At the end of the day, Ms. Lam hopes that her company might even prevent DUIs and save lives.

“As a mother and as a woman, I am passionate about creating a business that might have a positive impact upon society. With SchleP2P, I am hopeful that we can help people, especially the younger generation, value the importance of friendship and social responsibility. I am excited that we can potentially utilize technology to make our streets safer. With our App, the user is never alone. Friends are only a tap or two away.”

“SchleP2P is the pinnacle of the Collaborative Consumption experience. It’s about friends helping friends. The current ride-sharing models are not friendship based. Moreover, their services are available on demand only. With SchleP2P, friends can book rides in advance. They can even arrange long distance rides with out of area friends. Thus, we wanted to introduce a safer ride-sharing model as well as one that can potentially become disruptive in any market,” said David Lam, SchleP2P’s Chief Development Officer.

The Company will implement a cashless, voluntary payment system through the use of points to pay for rides. All riders must purchase points in order to request rides from their friendship circle. When a ride is initiated, the App will suggest a certain amount of points the passenger should render to the driver to reimburse for his time, gas and other incidental expenses. The suggested fares are calculated to be 20% less than existing taxi fares around South Florida. Upon completion of the ride, the points will be transferred from the passenger’s account to the driver’s. The points, as a form of alternative currency, can be converted into cash or used to purchase goods and services offered by SchleP2P’s affiliated partners. The passenger and rider are then asked to rate each other’s experiences. All of these features are performed seamlessly through the App.

In addition to sharing rides, friends can get together via the App to frequent venues through SchleP2P’s “Socially Responsible Partners” that will offer them rewards and incentives in real time. “Our goal is to bring neighboring businesses on board to join us to promote camaraderie, commerce and safety. We are about community building” stated Mendy Fischweicher, SchleP2P’s Chief Operation Officer.

Safety is paramount to the SchleP2P community. Through social network verification, the Company will only allow recognized friends to give each other rides. In addition, SchleP2P conducts rigid background checks as well as extensive phone screenings on all driver applicants. The Company further carries a $1 Million commercial liability insurance coverage in the event of accidents.

The Company is planning to launch initially next month in South Florida in beta mode. “We feel that South Florida is the ideal breeding ground for SchleP2P due to its strong demographics. The area has a number of universities and has traditionally been known as a hotbed for party goers and vacationers alike” added David James, Marketing Director for SchleP2P. “Our goal is to take advantage of the area’s warm climate and blossoming economy to mobilize people to go out more often. With SchleP2P, friends that ride together flock together.”

About SchleP2P

SchleP2P connects nearby friends for rides through the use of their App on iTunes. An Android version is currently in development.
