Flooding Leads to the Hidden Danger, Mold-National Mold Expert Offers Relief

Some states in America are experiencing severe storms, floods, and heavy rains, leading to not just the loss of lives, but long term repercussions such as water-logging, power outages, and damaged property. However, even more impervious is the growth of mold, which attacks your family’s health, but the very foundations of your home as well. Don’t let it ruin your life, fight back with advice from National Mold Expert Charles Boday!

New York, July 21, 2015 -- Whenever you open the newspaper or a news channel, the same news item is bound to flash across your eyes from various parts of the country. Whether it’s in Kentucky or Texas, Oklahoma or the Orange County, floods and continuous rain has taken over the entire country. Recently, a state of emergency was declared in Eastern Kentucky where two days of continuous rainfall has led to two fatalities.

Rescue workers are still operating in the region, with the toll of missing persons still rising even after two days. Both Jonson county and Rowan county have been severely affected, with cars stalling due to the flood water, homes damaged by the floods, and power lines being affected for at least 19,000 people across the eastern section of the state.

The governor declared a state emergency, facilitating the moving in of the Red Cross, KYEM, Kentucky National Guards, with rescue shelters being put up across the state. While similar conditions have been seen in many other states of the region, Kentucky seems to have taken a really bad hit this year. However, even in regions where the floods were not as severe and the water went down after only a couple of hours, damage in terms of flooded basements and downed power lines still remain.

The immediate results of the flood are very apparent to most people, but it is the time after the rain and water has subsided, which is crucial for most families. Homeowners have to deal with the repercussions of the flood, often having to resort to clearing out buckets full of water from their basements, attics, and other such spaces which are especially susceptible to water collection.

An ancillary aspect of this kind of natural calamity is another biological disaster: the formation of mold. While many people don’t take molding seriously, it is extremely dangerous for health, affecting your lungs and your furniture. One spore of mold is enough to infect the entire household, and unless a proper method of removal is chosen, it can remain in your home for days.

To protect yourself, it is advisable to follow a 5-step mold removal process, using all natural products because many mold killing products are more poisonous to humans that the mold.
This five step procedure is as follows:
1.Kill the mold- we recommend using peroxide for this.
2. Establish critical barriers negative pressure and/or air scrubbing
3. Remove the gross moldy materials.
4. Kill the roots- we recommend using borate based mineral salt for this.
5. Perform the gas out using a high intensity shock ozone treatment is the only permanent solution to the dangerous effects of mold the gas has the ability to penetrate into hidden nooks crannies and crevices where spores hide and it eradicates the dangerous gasses called MVOC’s and the mold poisons called mycotoxins.

Top Four Ways Heavy Midwest Rain Causes Attic Mold, Warns Environmental Hygienist Phillip Fry

Midwest homeowners and commercial property owners can expect that the record summer 2015 rains in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio can cause significant toxic mold growth in home and workplace attics in four ways, according to Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist and Professional Industrial Hygienist.

EnviroFry_Upkeep_Masters.jpg
Montrose, MI, July 25, 2015 -- “For four reasons, attic toxic mold can grow well as the direct result of the heavy summer, 2015, rainfall in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio,” notes Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist, and webmaster since 1999 of the mold education website www.moldinspector.com.

1. During heavy rain, water can cause roof leaks through small roof holes, roof degradation, and gaps in the flashing around chimneys and plumbing and furnace vent pipes that normally are not significant water intrusion points. Roof leaks are the number one cause of water damage and toxic mold growth in attics and mold hidden inside the ceilings and walls beneath the attic.

2. Heavy rain is often accompanied by strong winds that can lift up roof shingles or otherwise damage shingles, thus facilitating water leaks into the attic and thus into ceilings and walls.

3. Heavy rain significantly increases attic humidity, and thus drives attic mold growth. If attic humidity is 70% or higher, that high humidity alone can drive massive attic mold growth.

4. Heavy rain caused roof leaks and high humidity exacerbate attic mold growth when the attic has these additional mold stimulants and contributing causes:
(a) no ridge vent and other roof-installed vents;
(b) no or inadequate vents in the side walls of the attic;
(c) no vents in the roof overhangs and soffits;
(d) attic insulation that blocks overhang and soffit vents;
(e) clothes dryer air, bathroom, and kitchen exhaust fans directly vented into the attic, thus bringing mold-causing high humidity into the attic;
(f) holes or disconnections in the attic dryer and exhaust fan ducting that would otherwise carry the moist exhaust air to the outdoors.

Direct venting of the dryer, kitchen, and bathroom exhaust fans into the attic was the cause of a massive attic mold growth problem that temporarily delayed the closing of the sale of a ten year old home in suburban Fort Wayne, Indiana, until Fry’s company EnviroFry Upkeep Masters, LLC, did attic mold remediation in July, 2015.

Survive the Recent Floods and Rainfall: Ozone Treatments can Protect Your Home, and Your Family

The recent spate of rain across the country has led to some devastating consequences, including the loss of life and property. While different regions have been affected in different degrees, the damage is not always seen on the outside. Luckily, with the Bio3Blaster ozone generator invented by Charlles Bohdy, you can effectively save your home and your loved ones from mold-related problems.

BiO3Blaster.jpg
New York, July 18, 2015 -- Whenever you turn on the news, whether it’s at the national level or the local, there are news items on floods, flash floods, and heavy rains all of the time. The Kinnickinnic River near Rive Falls, Wisconsin, for example, rose nearly 6.7 feet in 8 hours’ time – a drastic increase that might have catastrophic consequences.

Recent reports are still coming in from Wichita, Kansas, where storms have caused extremely heavy rainfall and consequent flooding. Though no injuries have been reported, there are reports of power outages and flooded homes in the region. The same story has been coming in from Ohio, from Illinois, from Pennsylvania to Rochester. This makes it imperative to have a battle plan ready in case you happen to come under similar circumstances.

Flooded streets not only ruin cars, but can have long drawn out consequences for families or individuals living in the affected region. The severe dampness of the climate, the warmth of the season, and the persistent water collected in gutters, basements, attics, all become habitable conditions that inspire the growth of mold. Home owners often find themselves in a situation where they must not only drain out their basements and other such areas of the house, but they must also take care of affected walls and floors – particularly if they’re wooden!

While one mold spore takes little less than twelve hours to turn into a population of 12 million, dealing with mold growth takes a little bit more time than that. Many homes become completely inhabitable, and the cost of treatment can run up to tens of thousands of dollars. There are plenty of liquid chemicals out there which claim to deal with mold, but as scientists have proved over and over since 2001, this is hardly a long lasting or effective mechanism for all the nooks and crannies.

The modern solution, then, is to run a mold treatment than is completely effective, can be applied in a large or small scale as required, and may completely destroy the infestation. An ozone generator can be your best friend, whether you’re a contractor or home owner, destroying musty odor, air-borne viruses and germs, and all the mold spores besides.

The Bio3Blaster, for example, comes highly recommended by the author of The Ultra Dry Basement and Got Mold Now what a trusted name in this industry. So if you’ve got mold, don’t despair because the ozone treatment is not only safe and easy, its 100% effective as well.

Shawn_Anderson.jpg
“It’s time for me to start getting outside my own comfort zone,”
Anderson shares. “I can’t talk about wanting to share the ‘go the extra mile’ message around the world…and then not be willing to get behind a few more international podiums.”

Anderson is the Founder of Extra Mile America and the creator of Extra Mile Day...a day recognizing the capacity we each have to create positive change when we go the extra mile. On November 1, 2014, 527 U.S. cities made the unique declaration and recognized those in their local communities who were going the extra mile in volunteerism and service.

Anderson doesn’t just talk about themes such as “go the extra mile” and “live the life you love”; he lives them. “I don’t believe in letting fear or failure stop us from living the life we love. I do believe in going the extra mile and living the life we want to live,” Anderson shares. “It doesn’t matter how old we are or what obstacles we have to overcome. Our best days are only over when we say they are over,” Anderson states. “When I go to the Philippines, I will share with as much passion as I can that we’re each limited in life only by what the person in the mirror thinks and does.”

As Flash Floods Affect Households Around the World-Mold Expert Charles Boday Offers Advice

With the onset of monsoon season, various parts of the US are facing severe storms which has lead to flash floods, causing power shortages and the flooding of people's homes. The after effect of flooding is the growth of allergy and asthma causing mold growth in the affected houses. Using the All Natural Mold Removal system is one of the ways to get rid of mold from the flood-affected houses. A much safer option than most traditional mold removal services, Safe Mold Solutions makes use of natural remedies, rather than toxic chemicals.

New York, July 14, 2015 -- Kinnickinnic River near River Falls, Wis. rose several feet after thunderstorms hit the Twin Cities on Monday, 6th of July, morning, while areas in south central Kansas were flooded due to torrential rainfall. There was a widespread power outage affecting several households in Wichita, and similar problems were faced by citizens of other affected areas. Due to flooding, 20 water rescues were required in San Angelo, Texas on Tuesday, while basements were flooded in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Needless to say, as a result of these widespread floods and heavy rainfall, countless homes have been affected by the damp weather and rainwater. As mold thrives under such conditions of moistness, unseen to the naked eye, hidden places in the houses are slowly becoming the shelter of toxic mold.
This type of flooding affects crawlspaces, leading to the growth of mold, the effects of which can spread upwards through the home and into the attic. This is because moisture can move through the house via vapor migration. Attics with ill-ventilation can also lead to the growth of mold.

Flooding can directly cause growth of mold in houses and unchecked growth can lead to health hazards. When mold senses that it is under attack, it releases its spores into the air in a cloud – these spores can be inhaled by humans causing all manners of allergic reactions and symptoms. Thus it is necessary to use an effective mold-removal strategy like the one created by Charles Boday. It is just not enough to try to eradicate mold on your own, you need a DIY mold removal system, because without help this remains a job for professionals since they know what to look for and how to handle it once the mold is detected.

Charles Boday has offered Safe Mold Solutions for crawlspace mold treatment and attic mold removal, as well as basement mold treatment. Charles also offers an all-natural non-toxic eco-friendly package of DIY mold removal system, which home-owners can use to deal with mold on their own. All their services come with best price guarantee as well as an attractive Lifetime No-mold Guarantee. To eliminate the possibility of growth of mold at all, they offer basement waterproofing services, as well as a five-step mold removal system or complete ozone treatment.

New Clean Coal Technology Eliminates Both Carbon and Mercury-Coal Power Can Be Clean

The Supreme Court struck down new Clean Air Act requirement. Now a synthesis of new technologies, give the coal companies and the EPA both what they need by cutting coal burning costs, while at the same time, reducing emissions and making the air cleaner.

Burn_Less_Coal_0.jpg
Sheffield Village, Ohio, July 14, 2015 /PressReleaseCircle/ -- One hundred and ninety five coal plants are on the list to be shut down, says the Sierra Club. What this means for coal is the death that we all thought would come slowly will be induced to a few more years, leaving thousands of Americans immediately jobless and the crippled economy no healthier and the environment no safer with the current power-fuel alternatives. Coupled with the clean air act by the Obama Administration was the move to place regulation on mercury emissions. Coal plants produce around 50 tons of mercury a year, and the clean up equipment would have required a $250,000,000 budget as a result of this ruling. The Clean Air Act was ruled against, putting coal in a better place than it could have been, but the match isn’t over. Still, the presidents proposal will result in restricting carbon emissions by 30 percent or more. Though the mercury fight was surprising and refreshing victory for coal, the battle will continue as we wait for the decision on Obama’s Proposal near the end of the summer.

In Germany, the coalition government said it will retract 2700 megawatts of power from coal powered plants by 2020, while holding other generators dormant as a necessary precaution. In America, the government is trying to reduce coal powered plants by close to 50 gigawatts- not megawatts- by 2040. Understanding the difference in size between the two nations being compared, the difference in amount of power is still overwhelming. The questions now are as follows: Can we handle such a drastic loss? Is removing coal as a major power fuel the solution economically? Is it the solution environmentally?

With around 12,000 directly coal related workers in Kentucky who would receive a booted print in their rears, and which certainly does not bode well for the Nation. It is no more helpful economically when the alternative forms of power are considered, and without a doubt the alternatives switchover costs are prohibitive. In fact, coal is less dangerous than natural gas to the environment, due to the nature of natural gas trapping heat more effectively in the atmosphere with methane more than 32x then CO2.

The solutions put forth by the government have proven to be unsatisfactory and dangerous. The solutions presented by alternate forms of energy have also been quite disappointing. The most overlooked alternative solution to the issue at hand is reinventing coal fired power production. It certainly can be done. Researchers and innovative thinkers have been focusing on this possibility for years, and a few have developed some astonishing possibilities that help make the production of power with coal both safer for the environment and up to 25% percent more efficient. The solution combines an advanced combustion catalyst that reduces the amount of coal being burned and combines it with a completely new Zero emission WESP (wet electrostatic precipitator) coal stack air cleaning technology, which reduces the solids and particulates by 99.9% and the cuts the carbon dioxide production in half, and when combined with the catalyst reduces the carbon dioxide by 76%. Many coal companies in several different countries are now using this new method in their coal production and seeing exceptional results. This new syntheses of technologies offers the solution to the coal fired power production Clean Air issues here in America.

About: Burn Less Coal is a company dedicated to safe-guarding the environment, while actively providing new solutions for the coal industry. In an effort to help reduce the negative environmental impact of coal, it has created some fascinating combustion solutions. Backed by university research, actual full scale power plant installations, and real world results, its revolutionary solutions will help reclaim the environment and the coal industry for years to come. New Weapon For the EPA and the Environment in the Wake of the Supreme Court’s Recent Coal Ruling

The Supreme Court itself, granted a victory for coal companies and the coal fired power industry. After nearly a year the Supreme Court issues a judicial slap-in-the-face for the EPA’s clean air plans. Now a new technology, lets the coal companies and the EPA both save face by cutting coal burning costs while at the same time reducing emissions and making cleaner air.

Burn_Less_Coal_0.jpg
New York, July 14, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- A little over a year ago, in June 2014, the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) took its stance against power providers utilizing coal in an all-out clampdown of mercantile interests. The Clean Power Plan against carbon pollution, based on section 111(d) of the Clean Air Act, was formulated with the single objective of reducing carbon emissions. The EPA’s consistent goal has been to improve energy efficiency in homes, offices, and plants, to use other types of renewable energy, and to promote the use of natural gas.

While environmental experts and the Obama government tried to push these impractical goals forward, a federal court has proved far more effective in understanding these challenges. A three judge panel in session for the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the EPA’s plans would potentially lead to installation of pollution control mechanisms over $10 million, with not even the slightest assurance of improvement in terms of the environmental effects such as haze (from burning coal for electricity for the west coast).

In an incredible moment of victory for coal companies throughout the states, the Supreme Court ruled that the Clean Air Act, when it was decided, set limits that were impractical with regards to the costs of the industry. The attorney general of the defending state of Michigan, Bill Schuette, was one of the first to laud this move by the Antonin Scalia-led ruling of 5-4.

Luckily for us, practical wisdom still rules the country more than impractical goals and idealists’ dreams. Saving thousands of workers in Michigan, from being laid off and losing their livelihood was a direct result of the Supreme Court’s decision. America does not need any more unemployed people – it has enough already in this ongoing recession.

The ultimate aim of the Clean Power Plan, however, should be geared towards reducing the environmental effects of burning fuel. Whether that impact is caused by natural gas or coal, there are more ways than one to approach this problem. As studied by scholars at both Cambridge and Cornell University, natural gas isn’t perhaps the clean source of fuel it’s been made out to be: in fact, natural gas may have potentially worse results on the environment than the use of coal, due to the fact that burning natural gas creates methane which traps 34x more heat in the earth’s atmosphere than CO2. So what are the possible solutions?

One approach is through introducing new clean coal pre-treatment technologies like the Burn Less Coal’s catalyst solution. This new pre-treatment for coal, is applied to the coal on a moving belt before it goes through the combustion process. The result is seen to lead to anywhere between a 12.5 – 25% decrease in the volume of coal being burned, as well as up to a 27% decrease in carbon dioxide levels.

This new approach, saves face for both the coal industry and the EPA, because each of the parties receives a benefit. The coal companies reduce their overhead and operating costs and the EPA gets a massive up to 27% CO2 reduction.

About Burn-less-coal: Burn Less Coal is a company dedicated to safe-guarding the environment, while actively serving the interests of the coal industry. In an effort to help reduce the negative environmental impact of coal, it has created some fascinating combustion solutions. Backed by university research, actual full scale power plant installations, and real world results, its revolutionary solutions will help reclaim the environment and the coal industry for years to come. Housebreaking 101: Tips For Potty Training Your Pooch

Every dog can be housebroken with consistency and dedication.

Indianapolis, Indiana, July 14, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- Getting a new dog is exciting, but training your pet to “go potty” outside is quite the opposite. Learn how to teach your dog acceptable versus unacceptable behavior with these tips from Off-Leash K9 Dog Indianapolis Training:

Off-Leash_K9_Dog_Training.jpg
1. Routine is everything. Dogs prefer to have a structure in place because it makes them feel safe and secure. They will also learn faster with a routine.

a. Create a food and water schedule for your puppy to establish an elimination pattern. Off-Leash K9 advises feeding once in the morning and once in the evening, with a few drinking periods in between. Free feeding and watering will encourage unpredictable elimination patterns.
b. Take your dog out regularly. We recommend after waking up, eating or drinking and playing.
c. Use the same elimination spot in the beginning to get your dog accustomed to using a certain spot.
d. Choose a phrase, such as “go potty”, to use while your pet is eliminating. This will help him link the phrase to the action of going to the bathroom, and later he should be able to eliminate on command.
e. Always praise your pet when he is done.

2. Supervision promotes consistency. As your pet is learning, never let him roam unsupervised so that you can watch for accidents.

a. Look for your dog’s elimination signs, such as sniffing, spinning or squatting.
b. If you catch him in the act, startle him, take him outside immediately and tell him to “go potty”.
c. Put him in his crate if you cannot watch him closely. Most dogs will not eliminate in their crates, provided they are not too large.
d. If you find an accident, you were not watching your dog closely enough. Do not rub his nose in the mess or scold him, because he will not connect the act of elimination with the actual mess. Always thoroughly clean the area with an enzymatic cleaning solution.

3. Troubleshoot your mistakes. Most accidents are the fault of the owner and not the dog, so be patient and realize that your pet will learn eventually. By correcting your mistakes, your dog should correct his as well. Here are some common mistakes and how to correct them:

a. Your dog eliminates in his crate. Make sure that the crate is not too large for your pet. It should be large enough so that he can turn around, but not so large that he has roaming space. Most dogs will not go potty where they sleep and live.
b. When catching the dog “in the act”, you take him outside and he will not eliminate. Put your puppy back in his crate for a few minutes, then take him outside again and give him the command “go potty.” You may need to do this several times until he eliminates. Do NOT let your puppy play before eliminating; use play time as a reward for proper elimination.
c. You find a mess on the carpet and your dog looks guilty. At this point it is too late to show him where he should eliminate, so clean up the mess with a proper enzymatic solution. Do not scold him because he knows that the elimination itself is wrong, but does not know that the ACT of the elimination is the source of your disproval. Start over and keep an eye on your dog for future signs.
d. Teaching your dog to go within a boundary. If you want your dog to use a certain spot in your yard, you must keep him on a leash and take him to the area where you want him to eliminate. Give him the command “go potty” and wait until he obeys. If he does not, put him in his crate for a few minutes and try again. Be consistent and wait until he complies every time before removing the leash.

Inspector Fry Suggests Home Buyers Do Mold Testing To Avoid Mold Hell Like Home in Bloomfield, IN

Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist and Professional Industrial Hygienist, recommends that Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Missouri house buyers check out a home, for which they have a purchase contract, for toxic mold infestation by scheduling professional mold inspection and testing of the house prior to closing the home’s purchase.

EnviroFry_Upkeep_Masters.jpg
Montrose, MI, July 13, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- “Astronomically-high toxic mold counts were discovered and documented in the in depth mold inspection and testing of a large, expensive, showplace residence under purchase contract in Bloomfield, Indiana, by Certified Environmental Hygienists Phillip and Divine Fry on behalf of the contract buyer in late June, 2015,” reports Phillip Fry, author of five mold books and webmaster since 1999 of the mold education website www.moldinspector.com.

Even though the outdoor air control test discovered only 27 spores (projected count per cubic meter of air) for the dangerous toxic mold species Aspergillus and Penicillium, the projected counts for the same species were 66,133 in the utility room air test, 74,667 in the outward air flow from the heating/cooling air ducts (HVAC), 2240 in the swimming pool room air. Any count above 1000 spores in one air test is considered extremely dangerous health-wise to residents.

A surface sample of the wall mold growth on a utility room wall discovered 68,000 projected mold spores of Aspergillus-Penicillium per square centimeter.

Another dangerous toxic mold species discovered in the house was Cladosporium. The outdoor control air test reported a projected count per cubic meter of 107. Mold lab results found 293 projected Cladosporium spores in the utility room, 74,667 spores in the HVAC outward air flow, and 2,267 in the swimming pool room air.

A surface sample of the mold growth on a window sill in the swimming pool room contained 53,000 projected Cladosporium spores per square centimeter.

The realtor told the buyer that the large, fully improved and finished house basement had been flooded for a long duration of time during a long absence by the home sellers. The realtor told the buyer that the only steps taken by the water damage company were to dry out the basement carpeting with many fans for two months time, and then replace the carpeting.

“Such limited steps are extremely inadequate to get rid of the massive mold growth that would have arisen during a prolonged flooding of any finished basement,” noted Phillip Fry, who is also a Certified Environmental Inspector, Certified Remediation Specialist, Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator, and Certified Duct Cleaning Specialist.

“The fans carried and distributed airborne mold spores to mold cross-contaminate the entire executive home including all of the basement, first floor, and heating/cooling equipment and air ducts. What really should have been done was to cut open the basement walls, remove and discard the wet drywall, and mold decontaminate the wet, moldy timbers inside the walls,” advises Mr. Fry.

Additional, frequently-undone steps by water damage restoration companies are the companies’ failure to: (1) spray and fog water damaged areas with an EPA-registered fungicide to kill mold spores and growth; (2) use high output ozone gas with the same objective; and (3) doing widespread building mold testing both before and after the water damage restoration to determine the extent of the mold growth and the company’s success, or lack thereof, in getting rid of mold infestations safely and effectively.

Read the ten mold removal steps recommended by EnviroFry at www.upkeepmasters.com.

EnviroFry Upkeep Masters, LLC, calculated that the mold removal and decontamination cost for the house would be $18,500. The seller refused to lower the sale price to cover those recommended and necessary mold remediation procedures. If the buyer ultimately decides to buy the house, the buyer has been factually forewarned about both the huge extent of the mold infestation problem, and the high cost to get rid of the mold by the mold test results, mold inspection pictures, and the full mold inspection report with its recommended mold remediation protocol plan and bid.

Mold Expert Phillip Fry Explains Top 10 Ways that Extreme Weather Causes Toxic Mold Growth

Weather changes and extreme weather conditions facilitate the growth of toxic mold species inside residences and commercial buildings in at least ten ways, cautions Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist.

EnviroFry_Upkeep_Masters.jpg
Montrose, MI, July 08, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- “Changes in the weather and extreme weather are often the primary drivers of dangerous toxic mold growth in homes, workplaces, and commercial buildings in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Asia, and worldwide,” warns mold consultant Phillip Fry, Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Environmental Hygienist, and webmaster since 1999 of the mold education website www.moldinspector.com.

Fry explains that the top ten ways that weather changes and stormy weather can cause substantial, health-damaging, indoor toxic mold growth are:

1. High humidity of 70% or higher is enough indoor moisture to drive big toxic mold growth on both organic-based building materials such as wood and drywall and contents such as wood and upholstered furniture, carpeting, and drapery.

2. Excessive rainfall penetrates into deteriorated or leaking roofs, siding, attics, basements, and crawl spaces, resulting in substantial but often-hidden mold infestations.

3. Rain-caused flooding enters homes and other buildings and causes both hidden and visible mold growth inside basements, crawl spaces, walls, carpeting, and carpet padding, plus visible mold growth on furniture and other building contents.

4. Hot weather facilitates mold spore reproduction and mold colony growth in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and everywhere inside houses and buildings.

5. Hot weather results in the use of room and wall air conditioners and duct-work based, central air conditioning systems, wherein mold regularly grows well because of the confluence of incoming mold spores and organic dust (mold food) and moisture (required for mold growth). Air conditioners and central air conditioning are often prolific mold factories.

Even more mold-producing are water-based evaporative coolers that increase indoor humidity and mold growth. Evap coolers internally are also mold factories.

6. High winds in California, Arizona, Mexico, Central America, and South America carry desert-based Coccidioides fungal spores into populated areas to cause the serious mold disease Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever) that gets into residents’ bodies through breathing in the airborne mold spores. Valley fever has killed over 3,000 Americans and disabled many more over the past few years.

7. High storm winds, tornados, and hurricanes damage roofs and other building components, thus enabling large amounts of mold-producing water to wet building materials and contents, with resulting massive mold growth.

8. Cold winter weather frequently freezes and breaks water supply lines, with resulting big water leaks massive mold growth inside walls, ceilings, and floors.

Hidden water line leaks can cause growth of the most deadly mold species, Stachybotrys.
9. Winter weather with freezing and melting cycles of roof snow causes roof ice dams that can back up water beneath shingles and into attics to cause attic mold growth.

10. Rain and wind can change the counts of mold spores in outdoor mold control tests, thus causing skewing mold lab results. “Rain washes the air clean of many spore types while it assists in the dispersion of others. Sampling on rainy, foggy, or very humid days may result in outdoor counts which are low or have a significantly different distribution of spore types.”

“Sampling on days when there are strong winds also creates problems. Outside counts may be significantly higher than on non-windy days. High outdoor counts may mask small to moderate indoor mold problems since the interpretation is made on the basis of a ratio of indoor/outdoor spore counts.” Courtesy of https://www.emlab.com .

Severe Rain and Flooding Causes Damages to Thousands of Homes: New Weapon Comes to the Rescue of Homeowners

Flooding can lead to severe consequences, especially when the water refuses to subside or gets collected in hard-to-reach places such as attics, basements, or crawl spaces. Along with damp floors and furniture, householders typically face the problem of mold which can take a toll both on your assets and your own health. To protect yourself and your family, the simplest way prevent or deal with a mold issue, is to use a secret weapon and perform a shock treatment with an ozone machine such as the BiO3Blaster Ozone Generator.

BiO3Blaster.jpg
New York, July 06, 2015 -- From floods in the Chicago to those in Texas, the country is being rocked by severe rain and floods throughout. With property including recreational spaces (golf courses, parks), industrial (offices, shops) and domestic spaces (homes) being adversely affected by these damp weather conditions, it is hard to imagine how much post-disaster management is being required throughout the country.

Despite modern plumbing systems, the street flooding in Carlisle, Ohio was one of the worst in recent memory, with cars, trees, and even houses being partially submerged by the flood water.
Consequently, houses such as these are in the most immediate need of attention. But for most of us, it’s difficult to handle all the problems such as drainage, drying, and mold remediation by ourselves. Not only are mold-infested areas difficult to treat, the average home owners are simply not prepared well enough for dealing with them on their own completely.

While calling in the professionals is a marvelous idea, most of the time it’s a costly process – and not always the safest, particularly if you consider the toxic chemicals they use; and certainly not the most efficient, if you happen to live in a storm and flood prone area.

Don’t worry, though, because there are DIY products such as the DIY All Natural Mold Removal System and the BioBlaster Ozone Generator which serve this very purpose. Because these machines are easy to use and operate, just about anybody with a little intelligence can figure out how to use them, and the company offers a tutorial to boot. Mold, prone to growing in wet and damp environments and in materials with high-collagen fibers, is found in wood surfaces, and flourishes on drywall in particular. That means that your attic, your basement, and your crawl spaces are some of the most immediate targets.

A powerful ozone generator can completely eliminate the problem of mold for you, by killing the mold and removing any remaining spores as well. Most ozone generators on the market are toys not tools and they don’t make enough ozone to get the job done. Ozone generators are not confined to just this one function however, and they offer multiple benefits including deodorizing, smoke removal, and killing viruses bacteria and mold spores as well as sterilizing air ducts. After a Flood removing the wet building materials and blasting the air and surfaces with an ozone generator is one of the best and most effective ways to prevent toxic mold from growing, and keep your home safe potentially saving you thousands of dollars.

The Aftermath of the Flood: Dealing with Severe Mold Problems as Residents Try to Rehabilitate

The recent spate of rain throughout all parts of the United States, and elsewhere across the globe, has led to disastrous consequences such as floods. Both public and private property has been affected by climactic calamities, but for most people, it has led to more immediate problems such as mold growth and the associated health issue it leaves in its wake.

New York, July 06, 2015 -- Just a fortnight ago, extensive floods in the Greene County resulted in an estimated net damage of around $333,700. The impact of the flooding was most severe for four unfortunate home owners, causing them severe damage. Livestock, bridges, golf courses, and water bodies were all affected in the process, leading to a widespread sense of devastation throughout the state.

Many homes were affected by the damp and cold weather, which almost inevitably means a growth of mold in seen and hidden areas of houses. Floods almost always mean that a mold infestation is just round the corner, and once it takes root, there’s no saving you. Most home owners therefore try to press the button or select avenues to take such as clearing out the flood (or even rain) water collected in their basements, attics, or any susceptible parts of the house.

Considering that mold can have long-term adverse effects on your house and your health, it is essential to control the problem right at the onset: and unlike companies that treat your house with toxic elements, Safe Mold Solutions can provide some holistic and completely safe solutions for your health and safety.

The entire process incorporates steps such as the removal of water, drying out of affected areas, removal or drying of the affected walls, etc. However, the general public is hardly equipped to completely ozonize and kill the bacteria accumulating in these flood-affected homes.

The city of Grapevine recently faced a series of floods, and its parks and recreational facilities are still submerged. The campground cabins, which were movable, were just about saved from the flood by this very property, but the dampness continues to afflict other facilities in the region. Such widespread flooding deserves special treatment, and it’s always best to call in the professionals.
These days, it’s easy to hire contractors but most of them do not have adequate expertise, experience, or knowledge of toxic materials. Safemoldsolutions.com, on the other hand, is a secure destination for all those looking to rid their homes of mold.

Providing solutions for the attics, basement, and crawl-space mold removal, the company provides a secure treatment method that incorporates ozone therapy for your home. The five-step mold removal system combined with an ozone treatment ensures there’s a complete removal of mold, including spores, for at least seven-years of guaranteed, mold-free habitation.

About Safe Mold Solutions: www.safemoldsolutions.com is an enterprise conceptualized and guided by Charles Boday, safemoldsolutions@gmail.com , c/o 55 South Main St., Oberlin Ohio a National leading expert in the mold removal industry. Charles is the Author of Got Mold Now What? Mold Expert Phil Fry Reports Record Toxic Mold from Record June, 2015, Rain in IL, IN, MI, MO, & OH

Record June, 2015, rainfall in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio have caused massive, record toxic mold growth because of flooding and high humidity, reports Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist and Professional Industrial Hygienist.

EnviroFry_Upkeep_Masters.jpg
Montrose, MI, July 07, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- “June, 2015, record rains in many areas of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio have caused unprecedented mold growth in many homes and commercial buildings because of flooding into buildings, excessive rain water wicking from the ground upward into concrete floors (and resultantly into floor coverings and walls resting on those wet floors), roof leaks, and very high humidity,” observes Phillip Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist, and webmaster since 1999 for the mold education website www.moldinspector.com.

Some of the Midwest cities that were hardest-hit by the excessive June rain are St. Louis, Missouri; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Lima, Van Wert, and Warren, Ohio; and Port Huron, Michigan.

For example, the record 8.92 inch June, 2015, rainfall in Fort Wayne caused humidity levels in a large, local warehouse to frequently exceed 90 percent, with resulting toxic mold growth everywhere inside the warehouse because indoor humidity of 70 percent or higher drives toxic mold growth. Previously, mold growth was not a problem in the warehouse.

To kill the rain-related mold growth in that warehouse, Enviro Upkeep Masters, LLC, just completed on July 6, 2015, while warehouse employees were on their July 4th weekend holiday, several building-wide high output ozone gas treatments, plus spraying and fogging of the entire warehouse and its contents with two different E.P.A.-registered fungicides.

Upkeep Masters, LLC, is already scheduled to remove moldy walls and ceilings and to implement its ten step mold remediation protocol program in a northern Indiana factory, into which excessive rain has entered the building’s office area through roof leaks and siding leaks. The company’s proven mold removal protocol is posted on its website www.upkeepmasters.com.

The company also does mold removal and remediation for single family homes and manufactured homes, like it is presently doing for a double-wide mobile home in New Haven, Indiana.
Although the company does mold inspection, testing, and removal in most areas east of the Mississippi River, the company is most active in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio, because the company’s southern Michigan location provides it with easy access to Interstates 69, 70, 75, 90, 94, US 23, plus the Ohio and Indiana turnpikes.

Coal Moves to the Front Line with New Weapon

New clean coal technology offers promise of salvation for dying coal fired power industry and reduces CO2 emissions up to 27% at the same time. Natural gas isn’t as safe as many think and contributes 34 times the heat trapping greenhouse gasses as new coal fired power plant energy catalyst technologies.

Burn_Less_Coal_0.jpg
Sheffield Village, Ohio, July 06, 2015 /PressReleaseCircle/ -- New weapon prepares coal to defeat the so-called inevitable.

Trying to find a happy solution for energy and environment, has resembled the search for the promised land during the tribes of Israel’s wanderings in the desert. The Government has proposed regulation, others have proposed renewables, and still others have proposed natural gas. The circle has been made with no conclusion or consensus. Coal has been under attck and marginalized because of the alleged environmental impact of carbon dioxide in its theoretical role in global warming. The supposed inevitable trend is less coal power production with coal fueled power plant total US production predicted to drop 40 GW by 2040 even without the Obama administration’s latest proposal. Post-Proposal, 90 GW by 2040. The report coming from the EIA (Energy Information Administration), rather than the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).

Natural gas is projected to fill the vacuum that coal leaves, as one can see beginning to already happen. Renewable energy, however more efficient, will take a backstage position until further notice. As all this takes place, the price for power will press in on the walls of the household income, possibly rising 7 -10 percent in the near future. The Proposal, apart from blatantly refusing to recognize the possibility for innovation in the coal industry, will cause power prices to rise, eliminate thousands of jobs, promote environmentally devastating natural gas, and show how incompetent the over-reach of government regulation can be in the name of promoting a safe environment. The problems present in this issue are innumerable and frustrating. The reality is that the thousands of Americans working in the coal industry that have families and responsibility will be without a job because coal will be virtually dropped as a major energy source, and nothing will have been done to remedy our endangered environment, just trading one for the other . This is a gross atrocity that must be stopped. There is a better solution, and it has been demonstrated that there are better clean coal options which can help to revolutionize the process of converting coal into energy, reduce CO2 and save the industry money which translates into lower not higher energy premiums paid by the average consumer.

If coal can be made less hazardous and cost-effective during production it can continue its reign as the most powerful form of energy production. Globally this process is already starting to get underway and in other countries coal is already being revolutionized. These companies are using a new spray-on coal catalyst that promotes the natural ionization process, making their coal less hazardous and on average more than 12-20% percent more efficient. The ease and low cost with which it is implemented and integrated into the normal power making process makes it unquestionably the most remarkable solution to the supposedly insurmountable coal issue. If every coal company in America implemented this process, it just may show coal to be the most efficient and safe source of energy production, boost the economy once again, and help us move toward environmental healing. With this new weapon, coal will find itself back at the top, meeting environmentally safe standards, as well as moving toward more efficient and powerful energy. Unusual Recent Flooding Creates Hidden Danger: The Lingering Visitor, Mold

Flooding results in hidden dangers to families and businesses, including, viruses bacteria and mold spores carried, by the flood waters. A new weapon can be used by homeowners and business owners to fight back and reclaim their homes and health.

Oberlin, Ohio, July 06, 2015 -- Headlines across the Nation have reported flooding, due to unusually high rainfall, this summer season. Many parts of the Country are experiencing 100 year high rainfall averages. This flooding has resulting in deaths, mayhem and property damage, leaving many residents homeless and even more with damaged homes and belongings from leaking basements crawlspaces and heavy rain. Recently in Rock River, Ohio, traffic on interstate 90 was shut down for almost three hours because of flooding. In Greene City flooding caused $300,000 of damage. In Beardstown, Illinois, sinkholes have developed three hundred feet from the river. Residents and business owners and officials were preparing for flooding on Sunday since before Thursday. Some three hundred to four hundred homes are deluged in Kankakee County, Illinois. Storm systems are covering almost all of the Northeast, from New York to Pennsylvania to Cleveland to Rochester and Pittsburgh. Every one of the salvageable homes in Kankakee will need to be cleansed of mold damage and other types of flood-related damage that could cause dangerous health problems with the residents. Sochi, Russia has drank a month’s worth of rain water, leaving several places seven feet under water. The flooding has forced airports and businesses to shut down completely.

It mustn’t be forgotten how soon after flooding occurs, unwanted visitors could be coming to live in your home or office, especially in the wet summer months. These unwanted visitors are bacteria viruses and mold. When water saturates building materials it carries with it unseen pathogens in the form of bacteria and viruses, and the air carries with it mold spores. When a mold spore lands on a wet surfaces that is organic, it send down a feeder tap root and starts to grow.

One mold spore can turn into 12 million in just twelve hours, that’s fast, and it is an exponential rate of growth. Albert Einstein is famous and one of his many quotes is that “modern man is completely incapable of understanding exponential functions”. When dealing with mold growth we are dealing with exactly that, exponential rates of growth. This insidious, pathogen, grows at alarming rates and is responsible for wreaking havoc on many an unsuspecting, flood victim’s home, personal belongings and even their family’s health. This makes for an often costly and nasty combination.
While you may want to quickly move back into your home, should you find yourself in any of the above situations, you need to take the proper measures in order to ensure that your home or place of business is safe for you, your loved ones or even your employees to return. The last thing anyone needs is our loved ones and customers and employees, suffering from hidden mold and the health effects it can cause. The most important step in flood damage clean up and water restoration is the dry out and removal of water damaged drywall and stored items. This must be done quickly, in order to prevent the expensive costs of mold remediation and eradication, that results from secondary water damage caused by mold. Often overlooked by most professional flooding and water damage contractors, one of the most important and effective steps is to eliminate the mold and the harmful bacteria, by killing it. Most homeowners and even most flood and water damage professionals rely on spraying bleach or other liquid chemicals to try to kill pathogens like viruses bacteria and mold. Sadly, scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory, proved all the way back in 2001 that it is impossible to get liquid chemicals into all of the hidden spaces that viruses, bacteria and mold spores can hide in a building’s structure, due to the nooks and crannies crevices and cul de sacs that exist. They recommend that the only truly effective way to accomplish this is to get a germ killer into the hidden spaces. The best way to accomplish that, the scientists say, is to use a germ killing gas. Most gasses are expensive and hard for the novice to use, with the exception of one proven technology, ozone gas. An average homeowner or contractor has no problem setting up an ozone generator, and setting a timer to start killing those hidden germs and mold spores. What more, ozone destroys the musty odors and the chemical poisons called mycotoxins and MVOC’s that these bad germs off-gas, that can be harmful to health. After you run an ozone generator all of the germs, mold spores and odors are completely destroyed and what is left is a clean fresh scent and no more bad odors, or germs! This ozone generator step is vital to the process in order to keep you and your family safe. Unfortunately, you can’t buy an ozone generator at Home Depot or the hardware store, and most of the ones being sold on the internet are not powerful enough to get the job done. Of all the ozone machines for sale only one was developed by a Nationally respected Mold Expert, the BioBlaster. Available only on the internet the Bioblaster has the power to destroy mold and mildew viruses and bacteria, and make your home or business safe again!

Car Buyers Phillip and Deven Fry Warn Others Against Prestige Auto Mall of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Phillip and Deven Fry caution other prospective car buyers not to do business with Unsurpassed Holdings, LLC, dba Prestige Auto Mall of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, because the Frys are the victims of a consumer fraud perpetrated by the dealership against them in their purchase of a 2010 Volkswagen New Beetle.

EnviroFry_Upkeep_Masters.jpg
Montrose, MI, July 05, 2015 -- When Phillip Fry and Deven Fry on March 30, 2015, purchased a 2010 Volkswagen New Beetle, from Unsurpassed Holdings, LLC, dba Prestige Auto Mall, 1559 State Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the dealership and its salesman falsely represented to buyers that the vehicle had been in a minor fender bender requiring only an already-repaired small amount of body damage repair.

In reality the vehicle had suffered substantial, hidden, and unrepaired accident damage to its radiator, adjacent radiator parts, all of its air conditioning equipment and system, engine and vehicle support brackets, and much more, which are estimated by an authorized Volkswagen dealer to require more than $5,000 to repair properly.

That repair amount is very large compared to the total purchase price of $10,640. Because the Frys had signed an acknowledgement that the vehicle had been in an accident, and despite the fact that the vehicle was advertised to have a six month warranty, the dealership for three months refused to pay for any repairs.

During this time the Frys have been unable to drive the vehicle, which is the possession of a Grand Blanc, Michigan, Volkswagen dealer, while the Frys continue to make promptly-paid monthly payments to Ally Financial, the lender for the Frys’ purchase, for a vehicle they cannot use. Despite a detailed letter dated June 6, 2015, from the Frys to Ally, that bank has done nothing to help the Frys solve this problem.

In late June, Prestige’s service manager “Arthur K” finally sent an email to the Volkswagen dealer that authorized the Volkswagen dealer to do approximately $1875 of repairs. Prestige also faxed a letter signed by a dealership official authorizing the repairs.

In reliance on those approved repairs, the Volkswagen dealership did the Prestige-authorized repairs, but Prestige has failed to pay the $1875 to the Volkswagen dealer despite frequent emails and phone calls asking for payment.

The Volkswagen dealership will not release the partially-repaired vehicle to the Frys until Prestige pays what it has authorized to pay.

Because the weather was cold on the purchase date, the Frys did not notice that the air conditioning system did NOT work. A few days after the Frys drove the VW in a 5 hour one-way trip from Prestige’s location to their home in Michigan, the weather turned warmer, and the Frys discovered that the air conditioning only blew out warm air.

When the Frys contacted the dealer, the dealer’s service department said the problem was probably a lack of coolant refrigerant. The Frys then drove the VW five hours one way back to Cuyahoga Falls, arrived early in the day, and waited all day for the coolant replacement. That day was also cool, resulting in the Frys’ not knowing that the coolant replacement did not actually fix the air conditioning problem.

Then the Frys drove the VW again five hours back to Prestige dealership, at which time, after another all day wait for the repairs to be done (that repair being the replacement a defective part with a non-genuine Volkswagen air conditioning part). Again the weather was cool, in fact, very cold. When the Frys experienced their next warm day in Michigan, they discovered again that the air conditioning still was not working.

When the Frys insisted on taking the VW to a Michigan VW dealer for proper diagnosis and repair of the air conditioning problem, the dealer’s service manager Arthur K. said that the Frys would have to first get an estimate. The Frys took the VW to the authorized VW service dealer Serra Volkswagen of Grand Blanc, Michigan.

The Serra service department discovered that there was significant, unrepaired internal damage to the VW from an accident, requiring the following parts: (1) T4 connector at compressor; (2) replacement of leaking air con seals at compressor; (3) replacement of leaking radiator; and (4) replacement of cooling fan housing. These Serra repair findings took several hours of diagnostic work in the Serra service department, for which the Frys are obligated to pay $300 for the diagnosis. The repair bid from Serra totalled $2,085.62.

After Prestige authorized the payment of $1,875 to Serra, the Volkswagen dealership proceeded to repair the vehicle, but it then (after further disassembly) found several thousand dollars more of damage to the vehicle.

Despite the consumer fraud perpetrated by Prestige against the Frys, and despite the existence of a six month warranty, Prestige disclaims responsibility for repairing these extensive repairs on the excuse that the Frys’ had acknowledged that the vehicle had been in an accident.

Thus, Unsurpassed Holdings, LLC, dba Prestige Auto Mall won’t take care of the true extent of Frys’ loss resulting from Prestige’s material misrepresentation of fact that the accident was only a minor fender bender, and the dealership has not even paid the $1,875 that it promised to the Prestige-authorized and now completed repairs by Serra Volkswagen.

If prospective car buyers want more details about Prestige’s material misrepresentation of fact described above, they can phone Phillip Fry 810-639-0523 or Phillip’s cell phone 480-310-7970, or email phil@moldinspector.com, or contact the Frys through their website www.moldexpertconsultants.com.

The Shocking Truth: Clean Coal is Better for the Environment Than Natural Gas For Power Generation

Environmentalists and the White House, have joined hands to suppress the use of coal, dismissing it as the biggest source of pollution. However, studies have shown how this might not be the best approach to correcting man made air borne emissions. Recent findings have proven that Natural Gas power generation produces methane and traps 34x as much heat as the CO2 produced by coal combustion. A new clean coal technology has been demonstrated to reduce CO2 by 26%.

Burn_Less_Coal_0.jpg
New York, July 02, 2015/PressReleaseCircle/ -- As this issue continues to make headlines, the fight between environmentalists and coal has suddenly reached epic proportions. With the EPA driving the “green environment” front, natural gas power production is suddenly being hailed as the hero that can save the earth from coal’s disastrous effects. But as with most new things, there are negativities that remain hidden until held up to the microscope, and it appears that the latest and newest “clean fuel” is not all that they claim it to be.

In a Cornell publication by Dr. Robert H. Howarth, research was conducted on data from a twenty year period, supplemented by previous reports from the IPCC (2011 & 2013). The paper explores the possibility that greenhouse gases from the burning of natural gases can be more harmful than those released into the environment by burning fossil fuels such as coal. Burning natural gas results in methane gas production. Methane gas can trap 34 times the amount of heat in the Earth’s atmosphere.
The paper brings to light the major flaw in the EPA government’s by-line: by portraying coal as the enemy, they are trying to push forward towards a future with potentially more Green House Gas-releasing substances such as natural gas. In terms of the planet’s health, this can have some seriously negative effects.

The study also found that natural gas power production is worse in terms of its Green House Gas footprint compared to many other fuel sources, including coal. With an estimated emission of methane ranging between 1.7% to 6%, (with a mean value of 3.8%), when natural gas is burnt, using the figures above, it can be estimated that the greenhouse gas from a heat pump generate less than half that of an in-home, all-natural gas heater. Additionally as stated previously, using natural gas also releases methane gas into the air which has been demonstrated to trap 34 times as much heat as CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere and may well contribute more towards global warming.

The EPA’s action strategy is to regulate the use of coal, with a goal of bringing emissions from coal down to 30% of what it is at present. In doing so, it has completely blinded itself to other solutions using clean coal, as well being blinded to the negative side effects of natural gas. In reality, there are newer and better ways of tackling the problem, ways shown by innovative companies with a real and long-term commitment to tackling environment issues. Clean coal technologies are being developed and implemented around the world in an effort to revitalize the coal industry and save jobs.

Burn Less Coal, is one of those pioneers in this field to have developed a better way of dealing with environment goals. With a specialized catalyst treatment, Burn Less Coal can treat ordinary coal to produce more BTU’s, this makes for cleaner burning coal and allows less coal to be burnt to make the same amount of energy. By reducing coal consumption by as much as 20% power utility providers can pass on savings to consumers, and since it burns more efficiently, as much as 26% less CO2 and other Green House Gasses are produced, by burning the same coal.

Clean coal technologies are real and are a more efficient way to tackle the clean air problem than burning methane generating, heat trapping, natural gas.

About BurnLessCoal: A company dedicated to work with the coal industry and the environment, Burn Less Coal is the best option our Earth has for reducing Green House Gas.
