Staying Motivated When Your Life Isn’t Motivating

Montrose, MI, August 25, 2014 -- “Arizona window air conditioners, swamp coolers, and central HVAC equipment and ducts are both breeding grounds and an efficient distribution system for airborne toxic mold spores to contaminate the entire house or building, and thus to cause many Arizona residents to suffer from one or more of the top 100 mold-related diseases,” warn Phillip Fry and Lee Maglanoc, both of whom are Certified Environmental Hygienists and Professional Industrial Hygienists.

Fry and Maglanoc point out the following problems with cooling equipment and systems:

1. As for swamp coolers, which utilize large amounts of water to evaporate for the cooling effect caused by water evaporation, the swamp coolers themselves are often heavily mold-infested because of the wet condition inside a swamp cooler and the continual intake into the evap cooler of large number of airborne mold spores and mold food (organic dust in the air). Airborne mold spores from the evap cooler’s mold colonies are then distributed throughout the house or building in the discharge of cooled air from the cooler.

2. Window or wall-installed air conditioners also have a wet interior environment with plenty of incoming mold spores and organic dust to drive significant mold growth inside the units. To prevent window air conditioners from being mold factories, the units need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned inside every three months to get rid of accumulated mold growth and dirt/organic dust.

3. Central heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and ducts are often mold-contaminated because of the wet environment inside the HVAC system, leaking and overflowing condensation pans (often from a stopped up or plugged condensation drain line), and the continual intake of airborne mold spores and organic dust.

Fry and Maglanoc recommend that Arizona air conditioners, central HVAC systems, and swamp coolers have their outward air flow tested at least annually to determine if the units have elevated levels of toxic mold spores.

In addition, the environmental hygienists recommend a careful visual inspection inside the units and HVAC ducts and frequent cleaning---every three months for window or wall units and at least annually for central HVAC air supply ducts.

“Hearing ‘no’ dulls our confidence and desire. The duller we get, the duller our results become, and the more we will hear ‘no.’ Stay sharp. Exercise daily, read empowering books, and hang out with inspirational people,” Anderson shares.

5. Always go the extra mile.
“If you’re hearing lots of ‘no’ in your life, turn ‘no’ around by going the extra mile and adding more value to your offer or efforts. Value added leads to opportunities opened,” Anderson says.
